It is one of the highest points in Chitradurga District and is about 3803 feet above the sea level.
It is surrounded by hills, occasionally peacocks and dears can be seen here.
It is a calm and cool summer resort away from the noise and bustle of the city.
The forest Department maintains a guest house here.
The Anjaneya idol, the tomb of the Jogi and a water tank here are attractive.
Himavathkedara
On the way to Jogimatti, at a distance of a about 6 km from the city there is a place called Himavathkedara.
Here, in a cave, the water runs through the mouth of a Basava or a Stone Bull, forming a small water falls.
This spot with its scenic beauty attracts a large number of visitors during the rainy season.
Adavi Malleshwara
A by-lane to Jogimatti road takes us to Adur Malleshwara temple. The Shiva Temple and a clear water pond here are said to have been constructed by Adur Mallappa. There is also a plant nursery here maintained by the Forest Department.
